Work on the refit of the William T. Piquette continues. Recently, crew members, board members, and volunteers came together to complete several serious stages in the refit process.
Progress has been swift. Currently, the engine has been removed, the interior repainted, the decks oiled, thru-hulls fitted and repaired, cabin top sealed, cockpit drainage system reworked, along with many other projects.
Our most recent tasks included:
- replacement of all necessary thru-hull ball valves
- reconstruction of teak cowl vent dorade boxes
- removal of damaged bow pulpit
- replacement of fuel tank support beams
- installation of new holding tank, water tanks, and fuel tank
- installation of all new plumbing
- completion of waste disposal system
- removal of old cutless bearing
Our float date is within sight. If you would like to volunteer your time during a future work weekend, e-mail us at info@eyeotw.org.
Special thanks to the volunteers and the many helpful hands at our current home, Crown Pointe Marina.
